All in Music Industry should watch this: KNOW THY ENEMY movie

As a young artist with great aspirations, Nate Harris was determined to get rich or die tryin'; he is driven to be somebody...KNOW THY ENEMY chronicles one man's rise from the streets of "the 305" (AKA Miami) to the top of the billboard music charts. Nemesis (Nate) is pressured into becoming a stereotypical gangsta rapper in order to get signed and achieve success. Fame quickly follows, but at a price; inundated with drugs, sex, guns and money, his life is at stake and he questions if getting rich and winning the game is worth dying for.

When a record label offers him a lucrative contract, musician Nate happily sheds his identity and takes on a brand-new persona as the gangsta rapper Nemesis. But with overnight success comes a long list of trade-offs Nate isn't sure he wants. For one thing, the label is set on transforming one of Nate's childhood friends into Nemesis's bitter rival as part of an expertly staged public rap "feud." Amid all the artifice, what's happened to the art?


My review: The movie was good, not a superstar hit, but it portrays a VALUABLE lesson. Watch it n find out for yourself. Personally I think all up n comin artists should watch this and get to know the game before the game ends them.
