BIOGRAPHY Jeremie Sherrod Watson better known by his stage name J Watts or Watts is a Minnesota based Multi-talented rapper/model with crossover musical appeal. Born on the South Side of Chicago Illinois and residing out of St. Paul, Minnesota, J Watts (born Jeremie Watson) has gained popularity around the Midwest for his unique sound and versatility (Music, Modeling, Athletics, Internet presence-MySpace and Facebook). His music touches on topics everyone can relate to and his charming smile, chiseled body, and charisma can light up a room. J Watts began his musical journey at a very young age singing in the St. Stephens choir on the Southside of Chicago Illinois, and being invited to attend one of most prestigious music schools in the 3rd grade after his music teacher saw a remarkable musical talent in the young man. J Watts would then start forming his rap style at a young age by listening to genres consisting of Soul, hip hop, pop, Rhythm and blues, and country. As a teen his family relocated from the inner city of Chicago, Illinois to a suburb in Minnesota. It was here J Watts and brother Royale star focused on sports and entertainment. Much like music, sports had always been a big part of J Watts life looking up to influences like his father who was a Chicago playground legend and cousin Michael Conley Sr. who is a gold and silver Olympic medalist and world champion in the triple jump. J Watts went on to earn a football Scholarship to attend Minnesota State University (a NCAA division 2 University) upon graduation of high school. Due to his love for music and entertainment as well as long talks with his older brother Royale Star about potentially starting an entertainment company he transferred to Concordia University in St. Paul where he could both play on a football scholarship and pursue a career in music and entertainment. He began to learn the ins and out of the music business (programs like pro tools, logic pro, etc.) under guidance of older his brother (Royale Star) who was also a musical talent and attended a well known production and recording school in Minneapolis (Institute of Production and Recording). This allowed J Watts to focus more on music, and gain a name for himself in the Twin Cities. J Watts Modeled with VISION Management group, performed in school plays used sites like MySpace and facebook to create a large fan base. It wasn’t long after that J Watts would do tracks with some of Minneapolis’ most prolific underground artists delivering performances that were unique enough to stand out amongst the rest, also reassuring the feeling that he could be a successful artist in the industry. In 2008 SoundSick Entertainment and Music Group LLC was formed by J Watts, Royale Star (born Joseph Watson; brother and skilled hip hop artist and producer), and K City (born Karl Collins; a former football teammate of J Watts and musical talent). J Watts is a co-founder and CEO of SoundSick Entertainment and Music Group LLC and has helped redefine the new style of the Twin cities. He maintains a humble attitude and sticks to his motto GB2G (Glory Be 2 God). In 2008 GB2G publishing was created as a branch of SoundSick Entertainment and Music Group LLC with the name being representative of what he and co-founders hold to be true “All things are possible through faith in the Lord and hard work”. J Watts will continue to captivate and inspire fans with his trendy music and undeniable style for many years to come.
