New in the U.G of MN

What up yall, its D aka NL of Dumpstarrs. coming to bring you a blog of local happenings that might miss your local radar. Lets start earlier this month with the battles that took place on the fourth.
It took place at taylor sound in NE Minneap. It didn't start popping off till about 3-3:30. We also had a few out of towners come out to battle also.
The first battle of the day was George Jetson vs Ezra. The word INTENSE doesn't begin to describe how dope this battle was. George right out the gate comes guns blazing. Coffee shop punches along with dope word play taking it to ezra. Ezra ends round one nicely. these two emcees go three rounds w/no need for OT.

(im not gonna get too in depth with these battles as the footage is not yet released.)

Battle two was Sean Anon vs. General Ryebread (rockford, IL) This was a hilarious battle on both ends. I cant really say much else.

Battle three was NL(me) vs Analyrical. Super heated battle. The first battle of the day that almost went to OT. Qoutables from both sides along with high energy. I would say more but i dont remember this battle to much. Its just a blurr of punchlines.

The final battle of the day concluded with Shelltoe vs Joeself(rockford, IL) This battle really wasnt up to par with the rest of the battles. The standard was definitely rased after the first battle. Im not tryin to take anything away from either competitor but it just wasn't as hype. You'll have to see the footage and judge for yourselves.

On the 12th. Was "spend a night with DRS (deathrayscientific) The same people who brought Grindtime to the twin cities. I wasnt able to make it out that night but form what i hear it was really dope. A very nice line up also. You can check out more @ www.deathrayscientific.com

On the 14th was DRE DAY! absolutely a blast ever year. If ya missed it there is always next year! plan on going!!!

Which boys n girls leads me to the 17th and the last event up to this point. It was my crew Dumpstarrs, Wet dragons,ray bandarazz, art of faction, sonra, stubborn belly fat, and radio killaz.Ive never played the turf club before. Right off the bat i wasn't feeling the sound in the place. It seems like the levels were never set right. Although The crowd wasn't the biggest it was a blast. It was a lot hyper then what you would expect for hip hop in st.paul on a Tuesday night. Shouts out to dj all purpose on the wheels of steel. And that ladies and gentlemen is the begining of this month in a nut shell. There will be video of the battles i spoke of along with other footage from shows.
